Licorice Pizza

 

A coming of age story that has so much potential but never really hits the mark. 

Extremely lengthy and all over the place, the pacing is uncomfortably slow, almost as if you're reading a novel. Still it has very funny and awkwardly humorous teenage angst throughout the nostalgic 70's setting.

The Kurt Warner story is an uplifting feel good movie that had a grandiose story on a grade school budget. 

A fun story that somehow seems contained if not limited by the production design.
